Thoughts on Memorial Day

If you see a Veteran this weekend, thank him for his service.

If you see a Vietnam Veteran, thank him for his service and say Welcome Home.

If you see a Homeless Vietnam Veteran, thank him for his service, say Welcome Home, and buy him a meal or slip him some cash. A majority of them will not ask for a handout. They are proud and want to handle it alone, but a little kindness goes a long way.

If you can, attend a Memorial Day service and pay respect for those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Also be sure to remember those still Missing in Action.

Remember that each Veteran is someones Father or Mother, Brother or Sister, Aunt or Uncle, Son or Daughter. Treat them with the respect you would for a family member.

To all my Brothers in Arms and fellow Vietnam Veterans, Welcome Home and thank you for your sacrifice.
